But Chorus FX goes far beyond faithful recreation — it is designed around the concept of "Beyond Chorus," delivering parameters, routing options, and creative possibilities that the original hardware units never offered. Each of the five models captures the essential character of its inspiration while extending it with modern controls including independent Feedback with ratio-based routing, variable Delay time, stereo Width control, All-pass voicing mode (White Chorus), and oversampling with anti-aliasing. Mode-specific defaults load automatically when switching models, giving you an instant starting point that captures the soul of each classic circuit. Beyond Chorus — Creative Parameters
Unlike the classic units that inspired it, Chorus FX provides Feedback with ratio-based routing, variable Delay time, and independent stereo Width control on every model. These parameters unlock modulation textures and spatial effects that were simply impossible on the original hardware — from metallic flanging-chorus hybrids to wide immersive soundscapes.
White Chorus — All-Pass Voicing
Engage White Chorus mode to switch the internal voicing to an all-pass filter topology. This produces a distinctly different modulation character — smoother, more phase-oriented, and with a unique spectral quality that complements the standard chorus voicing. A creative tool that no classic chorus ever offered.
Mode-Specific Defaults
Each of the five models loads with carefully tuned default parameter values that instantly capture the signature sound of its inspiration. Switch models and start working immediately — no need to dial in settings from scratch. Fine-tune from there to shape your own sound.
Oversampling & Anti-Aliasing
Built-in oversampling with anti-aliasing ensures pristine audio quality at any sample rate. Eliminate aliasing artifacts from deep modulation and high feedback settings while maintaining the full harmonic character of each model. Toggle on or off depending on your CPU budget.
Full Mix & Output Control
A dedicated Mix knob provides seamless dry/wet blending for parallel chorus processing, while the Output gain control with lock option ensures consistent levels across models and settings. Precision metering and the A/B comparison system (COPY) let you audition and compare settings in real time.
